Because Purple is So In!

Just finished this motion piece for the Washington University in St. Louis branch of Relay for Life. The concept is "Why do You Relay?" Visually I wanted this motion to be a type based piece which is quite a change of pace for me considering I tend to avoid type. I also wanted to convey the idea of the track that Relay physically takes place on. My goal was to suggest the the idea of the track by using the white lines as a means of transition. Then as the motion progressed it became more and more clear what the lines represented. I think it worked out well and I have to say that doing precise storyboards helped me a great deal in not only the planning but the final product. Please join Relay for Life and help in the fight against Cancer.

  1. I think this is so cool! And I'm proud of you for making a type-only motion. :D awesome!

  2. Carter, this is such a wonderful piece - it's very professional and thoughtfully executed. You're really gaining momentum, me lady! Fantastic work. :)
